CV – Lena Heggelund


Born in Vladivostok, lived in Syria and Latvia before setteling in Norway

Lenas artwork is hard to categorize: it mainly revolves around photography and video, combining old-school printing and drawing techniques with high-end digital tools and techniques, resulting in a unique expression merging abstract and figurative artwork.

Lena worked as a photographer and co-owner of an advertising agency in Riga for several years, but for the last 10+ years she has focused on an artistic career. Her work covers several techniques (charcoal, pastell, painting, photography, mixed media and installations and animation movies. Lena is member of Norske Billedkunstnere (NBK) (Association of Norwegian Visual Artists) and Tegnerforbundet (Norwegian Drawing Center)
