Kaupang is an old norse word for "Trading site", usually a place where farmers and hunters met regurarily through the year to do trades. This print is based on a picture from a place with that exact name, but this beautiful forest landscape bears little resemblance to todays trading places. Quite the contrary.
The prints are hand coloured after printing to accentuate some details in the picture, hence each print is slightly different.
